From the first drawing to move-inOur interior design process Six stages, from brief to handover
A clear sequence, so you always know what is being decided, what it costs and what happens next.
- 01
Brief
Typically 1 week
We meet at the studio, on site or on a video call, walk the space and listen.
How you live, who lives with you, what you are keeping, what the home should feel like at seven in the morning and at ten at night. We measure the site, note Vastu preferences and agree a working budget before any design begins.
You receive
- Site measurements
- Written brief
- Working budget range
- 02
Concept
Typically 2–3 weeks
Layouts, a mood for each room and an early material direction.
We test furniture layouts against your routines, then present a concept for each room: references, a first palette of stone, wood, metal and fabric, and the ideas that tie the home together. You tell us what feels right and what does not.
You receive
- Space planning options
- Room-by-room concept
- Material direction
- 03
3D design
Typically 3–4 weeks
Photo-realistic views of every key room, refined with you.
The concept becomes 3D visuals you can walk through with us, so you see proportions, lighting and finishes before anything is built. Two rounds of refinement are included; most decisions get settled here.
You receive
- 3D visuals of key rooms
- Lighting concept
- Final material and finish selection
- 04
Drawings & BOQ
Typically 2–3 weeks
Working drawings for every trade and an itemised bill of quantities.
Joinery, ceiling, electrical, plumbing and flooring drawings that contractors build from, plus a line-by-line BOQ so you can see exactly where the budget goes. Nothing starts on site until you have approved both.
You receive
- Working drawings
- Itemised BOQ
- Execution schedule
- 05
Execution
Typically 12–24 weeks
Our site team builds, supervised by the designer who drew it.
Civil changes, services, false ceilings, joinery, finishes and installation, sequenced to the schedule. You get a weekly update with photographs and a named site lead on WhatsApp. Material samples come to you for sign-off before orders are placed.
You receive
- Weekly progress reports
- Quality checks at each stage
- Single point of contact
- 06
Handover
Typically 1–2 weeks
Styling, snagging and a home ready to move into.
Deep cleaning, a final walk-through with a snag list we close before you move in, and styling with furniture, lighting, art and soft furnishings. You receive care guides and warranty documents for everything we installed.
You receive
- Snag list closed
- Styled home
- Warranty and care documents
Q01What happens at the first consultation?
We meet at the studio, at your site or over video, usually for about an hour. We talk through how you live, what you want to change, your timeline and a working budget, and look at any floor plans you have. You leave with a clear sense of scope and next steps, and there is no obligation to proceed.
Q02What should I bring to the first meeting?
Floor plans or the builder's layout, if you have them, and a few photos of spaces you like. It also helps to know your likely move-in date and a budget range. If you have neither yet, that is fine. We can help you work them out.
Q03What are the stages of a project?
Every project moves through six stages. Brief, concept, 3D design, drawings and BOQ, execution and handover. Each stage ends with your review and approval, so nothing moves to site until you have seen and agreed it.
Q04How do you work out the budget?
We agree a working budget at the brief stage and design to it. Once drawings are ready, we prepare an itemised BOQ listing every material, quantity and specification. You can see where the money goes room by room, and adjust finishes or scope with clear information before anything is ordered.
Q05What is a BOQ, and why does it matter?
A bill of quantities is an itemised list of everything that goes into your project, from plywood and hardware to lighting and paint. It makes the cost transparent and gives both sides a clear basis for the contract. It is also what our site team checks against during execution.
Q06What is the difference between turnkey and design-only?
With design-only, we deliver the concept, 3D visuals, drawings and BOQ, and you appoint your own contractors to build it. With turnkey, we also execute the work under one contract, with our own supervised teams and one point of contact. Turnkey suits owners who want a single team to be accountable for the result.
